We'd love to see you here in Lake City! The elevation is 8,671 feet and the San Juan Mountains surrounding the town are majestic. The Alpine Loop and Silver Thread Scenic Byways pass through the town and Lake San Cristobal is right up the road. Lake San Cristobal is the second largest natural lake in Colorado. The largest manmade lake in Colorado is Blue Mesa just north of Lake City on Highway 50.

The year-around residents of Lake City total about 375. Lake City is located in Hinsdale County which has a small total population of about 470 people.
